Getting started - what do I do next?
Implementing CRM represents a considerable investment in money and management resources. It is a high risk project, with a significant chance of failure. Before you commit your firm to a CRM project, find out as much as possible about what is involved. Useful information available on this web site includes:
- The project: an overview of the steps necessary to ensure success, together with pages that provide additional information and a project outline;
- Articles: contains articles published in the Marketing and IT press recently that are directly relevant to CRM selection and implementation;
- Contact details: you are welcome to e-mail me with specific questions.
Next, I recommend that you ask other firms about their experience. Most people will be happy to talk about their experiences, and discuss what works (and what doesn't) when implementing CRM.
There are also regular seminars provided by the PSMG and PM Forum which address some of the problems and issues arising from CRM.
Good luck!
